We have been working on the technology for the sites for several years, bringing together insights from decades of working in engineering and IT management at various technology businesses. This site and business is leveraging decades of experience of the founder.

We'll contribute back to the open source projects we use. We're committed to open source. Open source alone provides us with the platforms, while our code glues everything together to meet our performance, privacy and security standards. We have built our core go-live features on top of open source. We will add calendar services in the next version, and will add new features and services over time. Live streaming, video conferencing, a barter portal are some of the services we are working on.
Currently we are using RoundCube for the webmail portal. We are pleased to announce that we are building our own webmail portal! RoundCube has great features, many of which we'll have to duplicate with our own code and algorithms. The new portal will have a more modern UI/UX design and is being built using a PHP framework. This home page is also being completely re-worked. We have been developing (and have developed) a suite of technology services that perform the way we want the services
MainMail members understand that (SIEM) is key. We have deployed and will continue to improve systems which provide monitoring, detection, and alerting of security incidents/events. SIEM/Cyber security is very important to us, a key part of keeping your information private is keeping it secure. We have implemented security systems including but not limited to: patch management, firewalls, external port scanning, intrusion detection and prevention, event monitoring, and encrypted off-site backups. We are careful with project planning, and have business continuity plans: Even though we are starting small, we have ticked off all the boxes of an enterprise IT department.

We have been providing services to a group of early adopters for over two and a half years. We will be offering services to the general public within the USA (only). We can provide email hosting services tailored for the needs of your business, or just your personal email. We have an upgrade for your email experience. For example, you (or your business) may need to send very large attachments. You may need compliance with certain regulations. Whatever the special hosting need, we'll fill it.

In addition to personal email accounts, we provide "high touch" services that are very different from the various large hosting providers. Our services are accommodating of special needs: Web site/application hosting for those who need something less constrained and cookie-cutter than a typical Wordpress or Godaddy template. Not implying anything is wrong with these offerings, only to explain how we are in a different niche.We also have competitively priced emailing list services for marketing and newsletters (opt-in, not spam).
If you have found this site because you are looking for an email hosting service, whether to reclaim privacy, or to have a higher performance, to be ad free, have better features, or special needs that require custom code or configuration, we will soon be opening our doors to do business. Standard subscriptions are handled through our subscription portal. this portal will be opened up once all our legal obligations for operation are in place.
