We were inspired by the number of people setting up their own email servers, and the reasons for doing so. Recognizing that most people do not have the time or skills to self host, but still want the privacy, performance and flexibility that self-hosted provides: That's what we are here to do for you.
We plan to contribute back to the open source projects we use. We're committed to open source. Open source provides us with the platforms, while our code glues everything together to meet our performance, privacy and security standards.

MainMail understand that (SIEM) is key. We have deployed and will continue to improve systems which provide monitoring, detection, and alerting of security incidents/events. SIEM/Cyber security is very important to us, a key part of keeping your information private is keeping it secure. We have implemented security systems including but not limited to: patch management, firewalls, external port scanning, intrusion detection and prevention, event monitoring, and encrypted off-site backups. We are careful with project planning, and have business continuity plans: Even though we are starting small, we have checked off all the boxes of an enterprise IT department.

If you have found this site because you are looking for an email hosting service, whether to reclaim privacy, or to have a higher performance, to be ad free, have better features, or special needs that require custom code or configuration, we will soon be opening our doors to do business. Standard subscriptions are handled through our subscription portal. This portal will be opened up once all our legal obligations for operation are in place. You may contact us ahead of launch, but be advised we will not reply to your inquiry until we have officially launched. Personal email addresses are available to our friends and family for free in the interim. If we do not know you, we will decline any requests for pre-launch accounts at this time, on advice of legal authority.
